Swiss Cup Semifinals...

Ciao tutti! This weekend we had a break from the regular season to play the semifinals of the Swiss Cup. Some might argue that this cup is more important than winning the actual league. Since we didn't qualify for the final 16 we've got our eyes set on winning the Swiss Cup, League Cup and league championship. Although we won tonight the championship won't be played until the end of March so we have a lot of time to prepare. We played our game in Geneva and I've been there before but my last visit was just in and out for a game. We left a day early for this time so I got to take in a little scenery. We stayed at a best western across from the train which happens to be a few blocks from the Lake Geneva and a Nice shopping area. Geneva reminded me a lot of Zurich, which is why probably like it. Next to Lugano Zurich is my favorite city in Switzerland that I've visited. My old teammate Chris Grimm told me there was a Hooters restaurant I. Zurich that I need to go to. He said it's nice little taste of home. LOL For dinner Friday night we ate a pub called "Les Brasseurs" just a great city setting, wood everywhere, kind of an irish style and a lot of people fresh off of work. I can an imagine this is what the real life is similar too in a big city in the states. We spent much of the next day at the hotel. We had our typical walk thru and pre-game meal. Then some down time before we left for the game. We won by 20pts to very good and athletic Geneva team. One highlight of the game was the crowd. I dont know if I've mentioned before but the fan base in Switzerland is not the largest. But for this game being a cup game an all there was a good turnout.

We have today off so the game plan is to go to Planet Wellness center swim, chill in the sauna a bit up and then the cold bath. I'm also gonna Skype Lele to see if she can get Rvca to sit and lie down like she's been telling me he has been doing. To wrap up my day, I'm going to go over to my teammates apartment and watch A-Rod and the Packers beat the Bears to go to the Superbowl.

That's all I got for you. I hope all is well back home. I love and miss you. Until next time.................. Love
